The best….as in, which ones are honest and really use your money for the animals? We’d prefer giving to cat charities.
I give to P*A*W*S…because they don’t put any cats down…..they all get adopted!!
I have donated all my Christmas money I got to them!!!

How about a local cat rescue. Or you could donate cat items to a local animal shelter, they always need food, cat litter, toys. Also find out if there is a place that does free spaying and neutering for people who don’t have a lot of money, most organizations like that rely solely on donations.

I give to my local shelter where we got our dog from. You get to see your money go to action. Currently my shelter has a 97% adoption rate and just had some extensions now. The building is amazing. They’ve put all the donations to use. They have so many outdoor runs almost all the dogs can be outside at once if they wanted to. If I was an abandoned dog/kitty, I would definitely want to be there (if there was no way back to my owner).

Check out Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They take all animals and care for them until they are adopted. Not all get adopted and many have been abused or have special needs, these pets can live out their lives with all the care they will ever need. Located in Utah.

The two I donate to are: The American Society for the Prevention of Animals (ASPCA)
http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=donate_home
And the American Humane Society
https://secure.hsus.org/01/makeadonation?qp_source=gabam3
Both have a good record for the amount of donated money going to donator’s intended purpose; to help animals.
Another none pet but animal friendly group is the National Wildlife Federation
https://online.nwf.org/site/Donation2?1081.donation=form1&df_id=1081
Another idea is to find your local animal shelter and donate your time and/or money there. I’m sure they could use your help.
Thanks for caring.

Go for Leader Dogs for the Blind.
You not only do well for the dog, but the blind person as well.
The also have a good track record of where the money goes.
I grew up an orphan, without parents. So I have always faught
for the "underdogs" in life. But I do love cats as well. <}:-})

Well, I wished you could help me some, cause I don’t know sometimes no more how to feed all of my animals no more..
I have 16 streetdogs, which I found in the carbage, street and so on, 545 birds, cats (only 2 left, they poisoned 6 others, lots of fishes and turtles. But be careful, whom you give your money to, is a lot of fake people out there…Good luck and god bless.

all ways give your pet to a cat or dog rescue if you give them to a pound the (in a litter) they will put down half of the litter. Or they will do the same if the animal doesn’t get adopted in the time that is set out.

Your local animal shelter or cat rescue..
Those are the people there on the frontlines working right with the animals in your area. I know plenty of shelters that run on just their donations with no government funding at all..
You can go to Petfinder.com and search for rescues by zipcode. Then just read through their mission statements and find one you want to support.
