…could become worse in the long run. I know it can be difficult to let go but it’s obviously causing you stress so starting that process may be the best thing to do – for both of you.
People may say that you should never compare future relationships to your past relationships but we all know that’s almost impossible to do. So try your best to see what a new person can offer you as an individual while acknowledging that it’s never going to be the same.

Relationships are complicated and you only have control over your own actions. Your ex is asking you to not text anymore. I think it’s about respecting their decision. It’s been two years and even though you feel that “it’s just a text message,” it’s actually more than that because of the feelings behind it. I’m not sure what kind of messages are going back and forth but either it makes your ex uncomfortable or the new GF. Either way it’s your ex’s decision and if you continue to text it…
