Genesis 34:14. Here the Bible considers a disgrace for a Jewish daughter to be given to a Gentile for wife.

Deuteronomy 7:2-4. Here the prohibition is very strong against marrying outside of the Jewish faith. Read it to understand.

Joshua 23:12. Here there is a strong warning against marrying outside of the Jewish faith.

There are many warnings if I keep on looking for texts. But I think these are enough for now.

"Do not be uneqally yoked" (Depends what you mean by 'mixed', of course. It has no racial overtones.

No it does not advise against mixed relationships, it advises againest mixing our religion with another religion. 1 Corinthians 1:10 "Now I exhort you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among you, but that you may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought." Such unity would never be achieved if the individuals did not meet together, so as to benefit from the same spiritual feeding program, and respect the agency through which such instruction was provided. John 17: 20,21 Soon God's Kingdom will destroy the present ungodly system of things, including all who do not genuinely love God and their fellowman. Daniel 2:44; Luke 10: 25-28 God's word promises that the survivors will be persons "out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues" Revelation 7: 9 Drawn together by worship of the true God, by faith in Jesus Christ, and by love for one another, they will truly make up a united human family.

As far as "mixed" in race, absolutely not. It does say don’t be "unequally yolked". To translate in modern terms and interpret – it warns against marrying people of a different faith. Not that it is forbidden, it just helps save heartache in the future. I grew up with a Christian mom and a Muslim dad, I can attest to why it is advised against… but if it is a race issue, it’s not forbidden at all! I mean, Solomon got married to people of all different cultures. His downfall was their other religions (going back to the not marrying different faiths).

I don’t know what God some people worship but my God is a loving God and if two people follow in his ways and love everyone equally the way we should, why on earth would he condemn his children because of the color of their skin rather than the life they led? Are we not ALL made in his likeness?
P.S. I am not a "holy roller" as people like to stereotype. I am Catholic but I do not practice any specific religion. I do, however, believe in God and have my own views of religion. I am also a lesbian. It’s funny how many people will judge me based on my sexuality but I guarentee that my relationship with God is just fine. It basically just boils down to everyones own INTERPRETATION of the bible. The bible has come down through hundreds of years and in many different versions. Just like telling a story to one friend in California, by the time it reached New York, the story will have slightly been altered, if you will. Some people interpret the bible word-for-word and others try to see beyond the literal wording. Both instances are ok.

I just wanted to comment for a moment. First, I very much respect your opinion and beliefs but regarding the second part about interracial children and couples experiencing discrimination I think is a generalized statement. There are millions of white, black, asian, hispanic people who experience discrimination everyday as well as poor people, wealthy people and so forth. I think that interracial couples are more prevalent and not so uncommon anymore. It’s actually becoming the norm. Once again, I mean no disrespect, I just wanted to comment…..I have 2 interracial Godchildren.

‘Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.’ Because emotionally and spiritually they will invariably pull in different directions and not sustain each other in their faith.

As far as race itself is concerned there is absolutely no problem.

by mixed do you mean mixed races?no I don't know of any where in the bible that speaks against it.now it does say not to unequally yoked,different religions.

Paul does not counsel marrying an unbeliever, though he says you shouldn’t divorce because of it either. Then again, Paul also doesn’t think people should be getting married in the first place.

As for the OT laws, mixed (i.e. Jew + Gentile) marriages were forbidden.

It explains the consequences of marrying someone that does not have the same faith as you because of the conflict that could bring. But this happens in some cases.
