I asked this friend of mine about this guy he has know for a while. I have had a thing for him for a while and he does not know it. So i asked the guy that both of us knew about him and about the type of women he likes to date. He told me what I thought was the truth. But I found out that he was telling me all the things he does not like so that I would not be attracted to him and not want to date him. It turned out that he wanted to date me and not even let his friend know that I was interested in him. His dating advice was only good for himself. Why would he try and deceive me into no liking the other guy, instead of just telling me that he had a thing for me?
Dating advice is only as good as the source. Why didn’t you just make the effort to approach him and decide for yourself if there was a good match?

So it’s not really ‘dating’ advise i need because i’m not dating the guy. This is kind of silly (i feel dumb for asking) but I like this guy on my neighborhood who’s really really the opposite of me. He has this weird style: Long hair with kind of rock type of style, always wears black etc,. I’m quite the opposite. My friends don’t think he’s cute AT ALL but I find him intriguing. I’m really shy but not because of my looks I actually think i’m pretty good looking (not so sound vain) but when I go out or something guys usually do double takes on me or come up and talk to me. My question, dear Yahoo Users is : How do i approach this guy who has no idea i exist. Let me clarify: He has no idea I exist because every time he walks past my house i’m always inside and never go out to say anything. But how do I just walk up to someone and say something? Do guys go for opposites? Oh and another thing i think he’s younger than me. He’s probably 17 or so. Advise? Please?
There are three questions you end up asking, and I will do my best to answer them.
1. How do I approach him? You will probably have to go out of your comfort zone and approach him, though you probably knew that. You need an icebreaker. Find something he does, like does he skateboard. or if he has a band t-shirt, research that band, try to get to know their music, and try to discuss the band with him.
2. Do guys go for oppisites? Well… It really depends on the guy. As long as you’re not some extremely "good girl", you SHOULD be fine. I say SHOULD because everyone has their prefrences, so you never know. He may even dig the good girl!
3. Is our age difference fine? yes, yes, and YES! guys dig older women (even if it is only 2 years difference) Though, I must warn you, it is technically illegal to go out with him, you should be fine.

i have a good friend that told me awhile ago that he thinks he is falling in love with someone. he is not sure if it is a mind trick or genuine. he thinks about them all the time. he is reminded of them in daily life. this girl was not very nice to him when he was in hs and called him names and the list goes on. he told me that he does not want to have to tell her how he feels because he would fear a frying pan coming at his face. do i dare ask what that means. what do u guys think he should do? if you can help out would be great

I’d say he should take the chance… in reality (unless she has a ‘partner’– BF, Sig Other, Husband, wife?) the worst that will happen is she says "No" and he moves on
without knowing more details, like how far out of HS everyone is, the current status of the relationships etc… thats my best advice
are stacy london and clinton kelly dating… According to a lot of sources and things that I have seen up till now there seems to be a doubt in every bodies mind that whether they are dating or not. I saw in an interview where Clinton Kelly said that they are just good friends and are not dating each other.
