The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a constitutional Monarchy.
His Majesty King Abdullah II ascended to the throne on February 7th 1999 after
the tragic death of his Majesty King Hussein who ruled Jordan for 47 years.
LOCATION :
Geographic coordinates 31 00 N 36 00 E. Jordan's location amongst
the Middle East countries is very strategic as it is bounded on the north by Syria, on the
east by Iraq, on the east & south by Saudi Arabia and on the west by Israel and the
Palestinian National Authority.
The port of Aqaba in the south gives Jordan an outlet to the Red Sea.
CLIMATE :
It is typical Middle Eastern Mediterranean. Amman and Ad-Dulayl
enjoys sunny, cloudless weather from May to early November, with warm days and cool
evenings.
Winters can be cold with rain falling from late November to early April.
