Q1- What type of Industries Manufacturers are allowed in the Ad-Dulayl       Industrial Park?
A- All types of manufacturing are considered, subject to the Ad-Dulayl Industrial Park Authority's approval.

Q2- Can we have the possibility to buy land in the Ad-Dulayl Industrial Park?
A- Yes, we sell land. It is more convenient for the investor especially if he/she needs Bank facilities. Banks in Jordan prefer to lend money for those industries that own land to be used as a collateral. There is of course possibility to get Bank financing depending on factors that the Banks ask for, like: Bank Guarantees from outside, mortgage on property etc..

Q3- Will the Ad-Dulayl Industrial Park Authority provide finance for factories in the Ad-Dulayl Industrial Park?

A- Ad-Dulayl Industrial Park (QIZ) will introduce the investor to special local Bank in Jordan which is ready to give long term financing of Fixed Assets as well as against Letter of Credits.

Also many International and local Banks in Jordan are willing to provide the funding needed and the Ad-Dulayl industrial Park authority will assist in arranging meetings with the Banks

Q4- Can I be a partner in more than one company?
A- Yes, at present there are no restrictions on the number of businesses in which one person can be involved.

Q5- Can I transfer my money outside the country freely?
A- Yes, the authorities impose no restrictions on the movement of capital.

A- Import of machinery & spare parts are duty free for Industrial projects.

Q8- Can I import and export goods duty free?
A- Yes, provided it is for your manufacturing process.

Q9- What is the electricity cost per KW?
Can one put his own power generator?
A- Electricity cost is 39 Fils (Jordanian Fils) per Kw equivalent to US cents 5.5 per KW. You can also set up your own Power Generator and cost of Diesel Oil is 130 fils/liter equivalent to 19 cents/liter.

Q10- What is the average cost of water?
A- Water cost is US.Dollars 1.4/M3.

Q11- What are the average salaries for unskilled laborer and engineers?
A- The ongoing salary for the unskilled laborer is Jordanian Dinar 85 equivalent to U.S.D. 120 /month . Salary of engineers varies between Jordanian Dinar 300-600 per month equivalent to U.S.D. 422-845/month depending on experience . Ad-Dulayl area has a big number of labor available around.

Q12- Do I have to employ nationals in my business?
A- There is no compulsion to do so and you may hire staff from any country provided there is prior approval (work permit), but since Jordan has a lot of technical expertise as well as skilled and unskilled people the general trend and the thing that is preferable in Jordan is to employ locals.

Q13- Can my staff live on my factory premises?
A- Yes, provided you provide for them the comfortable living arrangement. However there is a lot of residential houses for rent in Ad-dulayl Area and in the Zarqa Area.

Q14- How long is my residence visa valid?
A- The residence visa once issued by the government of Jordan should be valid for a period of one year from the date of issue.
